Individual Development

We reach each student on an individual level to ensure that they are receiving the highest quality of artistic education possible.

Striving for Excellence

With two locations to serve you, the Dance and Music Academy provides highly qualified teachers who are dedicated to empowering young minds through the arts. Our Performance Companies serve as the outlets for our students seeking more exposure to the dance world. This year we take our dance training to the next level, implementing a new company structure unlike any other studio’s model that will reshape the way our students experience the dance world. Our unique approach of teaching through exposure encourages our company members to explore the different opportunities that exist for them as dancers and like-minded individuals in the professional world, as well as focus  on an artistic concentration they feel most connected to. The addition our new “Elements” class gives company members hands-on experience in their chosen company track and grants them direct connections and access to the working professionals in the Chicagoland area.

Dancer Safety and Training is a Top Priority for DMA

Dance & Music Academy is proud to annouce that we have been chosen for a national study on professional dance companies in collaboration with the North Shore Sports Medicine Facility. We will be working with Dr. Carrie A. Jaworski, MD, FAAFP, FACSM, the Director of the Division of Primary Care Sports Medicine, and a Clinical Assistant Professor of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine.

Dr. Jaworski has provided the following handouts on injury prevention and treatment and a guide to knowing when your dancer is ready to start training on pointe. We are delighted to be participating in the study, knowing that all our dancers will benefit from this wonderful new partnership!
